Our youth engage in team-based service experiences that build life and work skills, while inspiring a lifetime ethic of service.

Our program runs all year and we offer at least 70 opportunities to actively engage in the community, which includes a full summer camp-style experience that are either free or at minimal cost.

We work with over 45 organizations across Racine County and provide opportunities that include STEM, volunteerism, vocational learning and unique experiences.

Our focus is on providing various opportunities for youth from all walks of life and abilities to be able to give back, learn and access experiences they wouldn’t normally have access to.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Youth Volunteer Corps, please contact Sarah Webb, Program Director.

Welcome Tyler!

New YVC Volunteer Coordinator!

〰️

Welcome Tyler! New YVC Volunteer Coordinator! 〰️

Please welcome our latest addition to the Youth Volunteer Corps of Racine crew, Tyler Townsend! We are so excited to have our first Volunteer Coordinator who will work with Sarah Webb to run the YVC group!

We were introduced to Tyler while we were both aiding the survivors of the Parkview Apartment fire. After seeing his heart, we were overjoyed to learn he was also interested in helping to make a difference in the community through the youth! It was a perfect match and we are thankful he jumped right in.

Tyler is a lifetime Racine resident who knows firsthand what it means to live, work and volunteer in the area. He graduated from Park High School in 2017 and is currently the Chief Engineer for The Stella Hotel and Ballroom in Kenosha. He loves the outdoors and learning new skills. Lately, he has picked up the art of 3D printing!

He said, "Recently I've been trying to get involved in the community and thought Youth Volunteer Corps of Racine would be a great place to start after seeing some of the many great things they do."

We agree Tyler and hope you enjoy all the activities and learning experiences with the Youth Volunteer Corps and thanks again for joining our team!
